Patrons rave about the Kwetiau Goreng, particularly the Kwetiau Goreng Special, which showcases superior flavor thanks to its generous assortment of toppings. The crispy stir-fried noodles are perfectly seasoned, creating a dish that is both comforting and satisfying. It's no wonder that customers, such as Samantha Evelin and Rinna Lie, come back regularly for their favorite variations, choosing between options cooked goreng (stir-fried), siram (with sauce), or tomat (with tomato).
The restaurant does not just stop at kwetiau; it continually surprises diners with a range of new offerings, such as Nasi Hainan Roasted Chicken and Nasi Lemak. Many, including Rinna Lie, have praised the aromatic flavors of the Hainan dish. Whether enclosed within the cozy walls of the restaurant or enjoying a meal after midnight, the atmosphere remains inviting, supported by the attentive and friendly staff.
While some reviews mention that the taste can range from average to extraordinary, the consistent element is the freshness of the ingredients. The seafood and crab claw specialties may vary in their standout quality, yet they remain popular among regulars. For those who enjoy a casual dining experience filled with heartwarming comfort food, Kwetiau Akang Muara Karang stands out as a fantastic choice.
This establishment not only serves delectable dishes but also positions itself as a community hub where friends and families gather for quality time over food. So, whether you're a long-time fan or experiencing Kwetiau Akang Muara Karang for the first time, you're in for a culinary journey defined by flavor, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
“ Has both air conditioning and no air conditioning seats and is open until aroubd midnight, conforming to the opening hours of other restaurants in the district. They serve wide range of dishes revolving around kwetiau, bihun, noodles and can be cooked in many ways. The taste is average but it's surprising to have the specialty menu, seafood and crab claw, to be quite ordinary and nothing special but pricey. The service is quite fast however the staffs aren't informed with details of each menu. ”
“ Even though this place is not air conditioned. It didn't feel hot at all. Staff are friendly, and the foods are definitely as must try and are served fast as well. We visited the place after midnight though, so I wouldn't know how it'd be during peak period crowd. The popular food menu is the Kwetiaw Goreng (the one I ate was Kwetiaw Goreng Special which of course tasted better haha). I love the Mie Tomat (tomato noodle), would recommend it even for the cynical bunch because me and my friend don't particularly like tomato and we loveeeee this. xoxo ”
“ With a number of branches around the city, this restaurant sits on a shop lot with no Aircon on ground level. You can order the kwetiaw or the mie to be cooked either as goreng (stir-fried), Siram (wet sauce) or tomat (with tomato). Each has its own differing attributes which should suit different people. Would definitely recommend the Siram. The portion is small but not skimp on the toppings. Food - 9 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $ ”

“ That kwetiau was delicious! Not greasy, but perfectly moist. The staff were super friendly, and there's a satay padang stall right there – the satay with lontong was great too. It was quick service. Definitely recommend it! Free acar (pickled vegetable) and red onion. ”
